Real Estate Advocates is your listing Company  in South Carolina and was founded in 1991 by Bob Mandel with the notion that Sellers in the Columbia, S.C. real estate market needed alternatives that they were not being offered . At that time, almost all companies were offering a full service 7% commission model. We felt that Sellers deserved to have choices with varying levels of service and began offering pricing accordingly. Initially, we started out offering our listing services at a reduced commission rate. Sellers paid a lower commission percentage at closing. Over the years we have adapted our services based on the ever changing real estate market place. We speak differently because we think differently.  At Real Estate Advocates, we understand it’s your home and you should have a choice as to how you can buy or sell.

Are you or someone you know buying a home? We were one of the first Buyers Agents in South Carolina. We realized Buyers needed their own representation and we acted on it. Some of our Agents  gave Buyer gift cards and rebates to our buyers throughout the years depending on the transaction and our Agents as a token of our appreciation. These gifts can be thousands of dollars.

Yes, we are different. You are dealing with an Agent or Broker working for our company in your local market who is familiar with neighborhoods, prices, schools, highways etc.  Contast that with an out of the area or out of state referral company who have no idea of these important facts.  Our mantra is that " our principles come before our profits." We don't sell you products or services you do not need or put your family in harms way. 
Yes, some of our competitors sell you combination lockboxes and suggest you should let strangers have access to your house. Not smart, and not safe.
