Flat Fee MLS Questions and Answers

Listing on the MLS for a flat fee is the exact same thing as listing with a 6% REALTOR®. You are just paying less money to get the exact same service. We are REALTORS® and a BROKER. Your listing looks exactly the same as all other listings. You can sell your property to someone not represented by an agent and NOT pay a buyer agent commission, however if an agent brings a buyer, that agent will need to be paid a commission. This is perfect for For Sale By Owners and all other property owners.
We normally have you listed within 1-2 business days after we receive the paperwork & photos.
DIY Realty will receive the offer on your home from the buyer's agent.  The Listing Agent will email the offer to the seller as soon as we receive it along with the seller agency form for you to sign.
All signs will have our call forwarding number 888-601-3771 when a buyer or buyers agenst calls it directs to you the seller..

Pricing your home correctly is the single most important factor in achieving a successful sale. Homes priced appropriately from the start attract more buyers, generate stronger interest, and are far more likely to sell.

At DIY Realty, we've helped hundreds of homeowners successfully sell using our Flat Fee MLS model. When sellers follow our pricing recommendations, the vast majority of our listings sell successfully.

No, as your listing looks just like all other listings on the MLS.
YES!
Too many sellers want to make it convenient for themselves in the home selling process rather than making it convenient for the buyer and the agent.
The more roadblocks you put up and the more hurdles the agent has to go through to show your home for sale - the longer it will take to sell your home.
We strongly recommend the use of a lockbox or you will lose 50% of agents.

If an agent and buyer are in the neighborhood and they want to see your home is for sale - if you do not have a lockbox - the agent will more than likely move onto the next home for sale.
If an agent is pulling listings to show a buyer and it says NO Lockbox - they won't bother - it is too much of a hassle to track down the seller and try to coordinate showing it.
Also Realtors and Buyers prefer to show a home when the owners are not present.
The more convenient you make it for the buyer to see your home - the faster you will sell it.
  • DIY Realty does not accept properties involving a Power of Attorney (POA), Attorney-in-Fact (AIF), or novation agreement unless the document has been officially recorded and stamped by the county clerk’s office where the property is located. If we later determine that you do not have properly recorded authorization to list or sell the property, the listing will be terminated and no refund of the listing fee will be issued.
