I’m Bryan Curtis, the Iowa broker for Flat Fee Group. If your home is in Des Moines or the suburbs, I put it on DMAAR — the Des Moines Area Association of REALTORS MLS. That’s the system local agents search. You are not passed to some other office. I input the listing.

You pay a flat fee instead of a 3% listing commission. The listing still goes to Zillow, Realtor.com, Homes.com, Redfin, and the other sites DMAAR feeds.

Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Waukee, Johnston, Altoona, Clive, Grimes, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill, Indianola, and the rest of the DMAAR footprint. Ames is often a different board (Central Iowa). I confirm the correct MLS before we go live.

Order online. Complete the listing packet. I enter the property on DMAAR. Sign and lockbox ship in a few days. When an offer comes in on Premium or Diamond, you get it by email and in the client area. We review it, estimate closing costs, and I deal with the buyer’s agent until you’re under contract. Then eSign, title, and repairs as needed.
A lot of “flat fee MLS” websites take the order and hand the file to whoever will do it cheapest. You never talk to that person first. Flat Fee Group doesn’t work that way. You can call me before you list. I’m licensed in Iowa (also Nebraska, Illinois, and Florida) and I’ve worked listings, investing, and mortgage — so the paperwork and the lender side aren’t a mystery.
Buyer-agent pay is negotiable. It is not printed on the MLS under the current NAR rules. You can offer 0% to a buyer’s agent if that’s how you want to sell.
Will Des Moines agents see my home?
Yes. That’s why it goes on DMAAR, not a generic national database.
How fast is it live?
Usually 1–2 business days after I have the agreement, disclosures, photos, and listing data.
Do I have to pay you a percent when it sells?
Not on Diamond. Basic and Premium are the posted flat fees for the listing service as shown on the plans page.
